Advanced Tips To Get Started With Press Release Writing
Would you like to announce your product launching? Or would you like to let your customers know that your company has recently reached a milestone or has received valuable recognition? Or do you simply want to promote your products and services using the most effective marketing tool in the internet today? Well, you can do all of these and more by writing a press release. Here are the advanced tips to get you started with press release writing:
1. Write a release only if you have something newsworthy. Press releases, unlike articles, should not be written in bulk for the sake of generating traffic to your website. They don’t just serve that purpose. They are designed to announce a new product, new promotion, a company milestone, company acquisitions, and the likes.
2. Make use of interesting titles. Press releases, in order to be read, must have intriguing titles that will entice online users to read the release in its entirety. Make sure that your title answers the who, what, why, how, and when questions of your potential readers.
3. Provide your readers quality content. When writing press releases, you must present facts and information as they are. Fill in your release with information that online users are looking for. Avoid too much hype and fillers. They just don’t have room for press release materials.
4. Insert a statement of the company’s CEO or publicist. Spice up your press release with direct quotes from major players in your company. Readers will surely want to know their side of the story.
5. Keep your release short. To increase the chances of your press release to be read, make sure that it doesn’t appear like an essay. As much as possible keep everything in one page.
