Can I Submit The Same Articles To Multiple Directories? Part Ii
So in reality, if that stat is accurate (and sometimes it may be more links, sometimes it may be fewer links), then the search engines are NOT calling the duplicate content penalty on 49 of the other sites - although they have flagged 100 versions of your article.
Why?
The very act of placing your article on a web page, along with other articles, other content, and other advertising, especially if the advertising breaks up the article, can work to prevent the search engines from recognizing that the article is not original, but is a duplicate of itself.
So this means that if you submit one article to many directories, you should get many links to your web site - although perhaps not as many links as the number of directories to which you submit.
So you may be thinking, well, if I am going to lose 2/3 of the links that I should be getting, why should I submit the same article to 150 article directories? Why shouldn’t I just write 150 different articles and submit them to 150 different directories?
There are two reasons for that: it takes a lot longer to write 150 different articles than it does to write one and submit it to 150 directories. In fact, you would still be ahead if you were to write 10 articles and submit them to 15 different directories apiece - or submit 10 different articles to all 150 article directories.
Sure, it is a lot of hard work. But no one has ever said this is not hard work. This is hard work - simple work - but time intensive, boring, etc.
The second reason is that sometimes article directories don’t even publish your article. So if you write unique articles and submit them to just one directory each, some of your articles will never even get published! So by submitting your articles to several article directories, you increase the chances that your article will be accepted and published by some of them.
