The one instance where I truly do not think the “no contact” rule will work is if your breakup was based on the fact that your partner complains that you do not give them enough attention. If you stop communicating with them for let’s say 15-30 days this will only confirm their suspicions and will probably become the beginning of the end of your relationship with them. In this case it would be easier to get your ex back fast by sitting and talking with them after the dust settles in a day or so.
It really depends upon your situation whether or not the “no contact” rule will apply. I suggest that you do a lot of reflecting and define the problem and decide whether using the “no contact” rule will help you to get your ex back fast or not.
