Hypnosis Training
Hypnosis training is offered by a whole host of hypnotists and it can be very difficult to sort the good from the bad from the indifferent. Here I will describe 10 essential areas any decent hypnosis training program should cover. You will then know how to spot a top hypnosis training course. Now, look into my eyes.
But before I get going, take a moment to think about the reasons you may be considering hypnosis training. Many people are only interested in using hypnosis for a very specific reason. Such a reason may be weight loss. I really wouldn’t recommend spending time and money on training yourself in hypnotism techniques if all you want to do is lose weight. You’d be better seeing a professional hypnotist experienced in such work.
However, if you want to learn hypnotism for use in everyday life to help you achieve better results in your dealings with people (often called conversational hypnosis) read on to find out what any hypnosis course worth its salt should cover.
First off, the course should cover conversational hypnosis. This should include how to evaluate someone’s state of mind and their attitude towards you. It should then explain how to remove negative thoughts and establish positive thoughts, enabling you to get the most out of your conversations and negotiations, business and private. It should also explain how to maintain attention over a prolonged period until you achieve what you want.
Rapport and signal recognition should be included. Hypnotic rapport draws people to you, without them being aware, and makes them feel they want to help you. It should also heighten your own mental awareness and ability to read the way people are thinking.
Hypnotic language is a prerequisite of any hypnosis training. This should teach you how to make your hypnotic conversations run smoothly, as you introduce hypnotic words in a natural and calm way. Without going into detail, hypnotic language should also teach you the verbal agreement technique, the piggy-back technique, the plausibility technique and the linguistic bridges technique. The following skills and arts should also be included: going first, squeezing the meaning, emphasis, rhythm and tone, trance voice and the three tonalities.
The fourth area which should be covered is the authority technique. As indicated by the name, this hypnosis training module will put you in control of any social situation and allow you to direct the flow of ideas one-to-one and in a group. You should be able to learn how to seed hypnotic ideas which act as a sleeper idea in your subject’s mind.
Next, look for training on how to control emotional triggers which in turn decide people’s inner pictures and feelings without them being aware of it. This state inducing technique will even enable you to cause a person to forget what they have just been thinking about and is extremely powerful.
Advanced hypnotic language training should include hot words, precision language and how to discover an individual’s trance state words.
The seventh area to look for is cracking resistance with storytelling. Stories can easily bypass conscious objections when handled correctly and can incorporate trance state words. Look out for isomorphic storytelling.
Learning how to conduct conversational inductions is very important. This technique allows you to communicate directly with the unconscious mind. It should include a thorough explanation of the similarities and differences between the two basic trance states.
Frame control should not be overlooked. A frame controls what someone hears you say. If you can control the frame, you can control what they hear. This is not an easy technique to master but should nevertheless be included in any decent hypnosis training.
Finally, look out for an in-depth section on conversational hypnosis formulas. There are so many different formulas, it’s worthwhile ensuring that the course covers as many of them as possible.
Stick to the suggestions I have made above and you should find you end up with a hypnosis training course worthy of the name.
